Weekend recap

(the cap is the 'wishing cap' from 'The Minish Cap', FYI)

Ok. So this week end starts on wednesday. hmmm, pretty long weekend, donchathink?
So on wednesday we had a ridiculous schedule that I half knew about. But I forgot to check it out completely. So basically I wasted two hours in the morning, then went back later for orchestra. Also our Grandma and Grandpa came. They brought the other bunk that they built, and a bunch of furniture (it was all in boxes and stuffs). Then the next day we watched a DVD because our director was doing something for some audition thingy. I think she was just revewing all the information or something, because she was there. just back in her office. Anyways, I helped set up the DVD. Then we watched it. It was Yo-Yo Ma (he's a cellist, if you didn't know.) and some guy named Mark something (he plays violin) and Edgar something (he plays bass [the string kind]) So they played folk song style music, and most of what we watched was writen by the Mark dude. In the middle, our director suddenly appeared and began commenting on the way they were playing. it was like, "Woa, where'd you come from?"
Then on Friday we got new music. I play first violin for two of them. So I guess in the middle of the concert we'll swich around seating or something.
Then that night, we went to a corn maze. Apperently it's the biggest in the world. I knew it was gonna be cold, so I wore two sweatshirts (one hooded, one not,) a jacket, yarn gloves, and a head band. I was nice and toasty. Our team got second place, and got 21 out of the 24 checkpoints. (I'll explain that in a sec) the team that got first got all of them, and the team that got last got all but one. So the checkpoints. It was a big maze about the election, so it had a donkey and an elephant and such, and throughout the maze there were little check points that you had to find, and then use them to hole punch your card. (they all had different shapes, so they could tell if you cheated) if you got at least 20, you got a certificate that said you completed the maze. hurrah. It was realy fun. Then after that we had a 'bonfire' it was really small, but whatever. I totally perfected my marshmallow 'cooking' teqnique. So at first my marshmallows were cooling off way to fast, so I would blow them out right before I put them on the crackers. (yeah, I catch mine on fire. only way to do it, man!) but then the inside was still cold, and sometimes not even gooey! So then I stuck one in and left it there untill it was bursting out of its charred shell. That put a stop to non-gooey centers. The only problem is that they wouldn't be on fire at that stage. So they were kinda cold. It'd probably work better in warmer weather.
Then on Saturday, we went to the Mus. of Sci. and Ind. (did you know it takes forever to type the museum of science and industries? It's true. See, I was trying to do it fast, so I forgot to capitilize!) with our Grandparents. that was fun, even though I've seen all of their permanent exhibits now, I'm pretty sure. We also saw an Omnimax movie, because we get 'em free with our membership. (Omnimax is an Imax except with a curved screen. At least that's why I think they call it Omnimax...) it was about sardines and stuff. It was pretty cool. They showed this one part with a bunch of fish eating the sardines, (including sharks with LAMPREYS on them!) and there were these birds that would dive bomb into the water and then swim around eating sardines. it was SO cool. Also, at the begining, they were showing these shoreline cliffs, and at first I wondered why, but then I realized. Woa, with how the move the cammera and things here, it makes it feel like you're actualy going underwater and stuffs. it was a pretty sweet illusion, but it's also kinda hard to explain, and I'm probably doing a really bad job of it. I'll just say it was cool. Then that night we had a 70s dinner. that was fun. Everyone dressed up in goofy clothes and stuff. the food was really, really, really good. That was fun.
Then on Sunday night, we had a youth talent night thingy. That was fun. We did a skit. it was funny. And that recaps the 'weekend' So that's it. Done. Finished. Kaput (which is a funny word, by the way) El Fin. The end. BYE!

I'm pretty sure they just call it that because "Imax" is trademarked.
Or something.

And nobody is allowed to be excited about lampreys except me.
Or at least nobody is allowed to me MORE excited about lampreys than me.

...You know, why do I bother to leave comments? You always censor them, and I don't even know why.

I've only 'censor'd' one, and that's because it was rather rude, even if you were kidding.
And I like getting comments. Just as long as their not mean and/or tasteless. (not like water tasteless, like mean tasteless... Oh, wait, that means I'm being redundant-ish... Oh well!)

And fine. I'll be less excited about the lampreys. After all, no one calls you 'Lamprey_Master_2000' For nothing! (FtM!)(Inside? joke!)
